At DMA International, the way we work has never been about a single mind or a fixed formula. The firm always thrived on collective thinking, be it under the leadership of our previous founder Ar. Deepak Mehta, or now, under the leadership of Ar. Kartikeya Mehta, we draw strength from a team of specialists who bring their own expertise and perspectives to the table.
The main functions of the Firm are to provide research and consultancy services in the areas which have bearing on the creation of infrastructure and built environment. These include, among others, Design and Development of Human Settlements, Regional and Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, Engineering and Architectural and Engineering Design.
Every project is treated as a joint effort. Responsibilities are divided thoughtfully: different segments are handled by different experts, and the pieces come together through dialogue and design synthesis. We usually begin by carefully studying the site, local context, economic viability, and the client’s own expectations. Before anything is presented externally, we sit down as a team and critique the ideas internally. These conversations help us avoid missteps later, and they tend to lead to cleaner, more purposeful outcomes.
From early sketches to working drawings, through to on-site supervision, we remain closely involved - coordinating with consultants, guiding execution, and staying attentive to quality and timelines.
Though we have been around for more than 35 years, especially in group housing and town planning, we continue to evolve. With a new generation leading the firm and new services that are being offered in BIM domain, we remain committed to the same fundamentals - responsiveness, smart use of time, and quality that’s grounded in both creativity and real-world constraints.
